The villa di Vignamaggio is an important monumental architectural heritage located southeast of Greve in Chianti, and is home to the homonymous winery. It is located at an altitude of 380 m above sea level, overlooking the Greve valley.
The Villa lacked an access of dimensions consistent with the monumentality of the place, and after careful research, it was decided to use the Pietra Serena of Firenzuola, supplied entirely by Calamini Urbano.
The protagonist of this new elliptical proscenium that invites the observation of the Villa is undoubtedly the paving, which draws essential geometries aimed at enhancing the walls and the imposing columns made of Pietra Serena..
Both in the hand chiseled workmanship, in the paving and in the walls’ selvages, the light – reflected and direct – has a primary importance: it succeeds in creating that harmony that welcomes and amazes the spectator.
Every detail of the project has been treated with the same attention dedicated to the main aspects. The drains and gutters – also in Pietra Serena – perform the function of collecting and conveying water, without neglecting the aesthetic aspect, with their clean geometries and sloping installation.
The green areas, with punctual and linear trees, complete the area subject to intervention.
It was also added a new access to the complex, complete with parking area and parking for guests.
