Production / Direct Selling
Urbano Calamini works with Pietra Serena tiles of various sizes and thicknesses by carefully taking care of dimensions and finishes. The sale of products made of Pietra Serena is possible both in retail and in large quantities. Our highly qualified staff is available to formulate free estimates based on your request and needs.
Dry Lay
The design and installation is divided into 2 phases, the first is the so-called “dry” installation and then the actual installation with the use of mortar or adhesive cement.
The dry laying process is fundamental as it guarantees a better overall quality of the project and of the desired model even before the stone bricks are laid according to the chosen laying pattern, thus guaranteeing the desired result in terms of aesthetics and quality.
Surface Treatment
The treatment of the Pietra Serena artefacts is intended to protect the surface. Urbano Calamini offers a surface treatment service with highly professional products suitable for every kind of need worked.
In order to maintain and preserve the peculiar features of this natural sandstone, Urbano Calamini offers restoration and consolidation services for outdoor or indoor surfaces and finishes.

Brento Alta
The Brento Alta quarry is located in the Brento Sanico extraction basin in the Firenzuola area, at about 800 meters above sea level. The quarry includes 70,000 square meters of concession areas, 25,000 square meters of quarrying and 40,000 cubic meters of total annual excavation, of which 8000 cubic meters of ornamental Serena stone are intended for transformation.
The Laboratory
Following a path focused on the enhancement of Firenzuola’s Pietra Serena and its applications, the company has optimized its internal organization over time, constantly improving its production techniques. The processing of raw materials takes place inside the large laboratory, in the areas equipped for the different types of production.
